On Friday I had the mums and babies in

and I wanted to film some workouts for

the website where mum uses baby as the

weight 🙂

I just let the camera roll and I would edit

the bits out I wanted later

thing is, the babies we were using were

about 9 months old, not new borns and it

was quite funny watching the mums

struggle with the boys wriggling about,

making everything so much harder

I know – I’m cruel!

what was even funnier though was

watching the video back later, the

babies were having the time of their life

and mums were totally ******

they also complained for a couple of

days after at how hard it was

So, proof that you don’t need a gym to

get in shape, you don’t need equipment

all you need is a baby, preferably yours

but you could borrow…

this doesn’t work with cats or dogs btw

they thrash about and scratch your face

If you don’t have a baby you can make

one and I don’t mean actually make one

that would be a bit extreme

Get a backpack and fill it with books or

use something in the house that weighs

roughly what you want to lift and voila

Back to the babies

the great thing about using your baby

is that when it’s born, it doesn’t weigh

that much so you can do some gentle

exercise to get you started

then, as you rehabilitate, get stronger

more fitter and need a bigger challenge

your baby gets bigger and heavier!

It’s brilliant

I actually babysat one of them last week

and we went for a walk in the pram,

I couldn’t believe how easy it was to

push it up the hills

it wasn’t much of a workout so using the

baby as a weight is a much better idea

you will burn fat, tone your muscles

feel better about yourself and most

importantly – have fun with the wee one
